Then I start asking these questions…..”How do I know which one will work?” or “How do I know which has really helped a real person successfully with their marriage problems?” or “Which one of these authors are actually happily married?”

To be honest, you have to be in a great and happy marriage yourself before you go around helping others. How many times have you gone to a dentist to seek help with your car problems? Get my drift?

So I decided to do some digging on my own until I came across this great book that is actually written by a real happily married person. His book titled “The Magic Of Making Up System” is written specially to help couples marital problems.

I don’t know about you but if I am having marriage problems, I definitely want to get help from someone who cares whether me and my spouse make it or not. I like to seek help from a person who will answer my emails should I need to ask a personal question.

To be honest, there is no one book out there that covers everything about marriage problems because these problems comes in different shapes and sizes. One thing I am confident is that any marriage that is in trouble can be improved. Just like human, there is no “perfect” marriage out there.

You can create a great marriage with your spouse though. However all marriages will sometime or another face hurdles. Some hurdles can be crossed easily while there will situations where you may need some help getting over. Self help marriage counseling may be an answer for those of us that don’t want to sit down with a stranger; to discuss the intimate details of our marriage. But unless you know where to start and what to look for, you probably aren’t going to achieve much more than another argument.

The problem is that when you are involved in the situation you often can’t see things from the other person’s perspective. It is important that you learn as it takes two to tango as the old saying goes. You will have to deal with painful issues and discussing these will take patience and practice. For example, sex may be causing an issue between you but it is often very difficult to discuss making love.

Both of you may feel embarrassed or ashamed or annoyed that this subject is coming up again. So before you dive into sorting out your relationship, make sure you have done some reading and thread carefully while you apply what you have learned. Take things slowly and don’t let your discussions turn into an argument. The moment things start to get heated up, take time off to walk away and cool down.

Usually you will find that your partner is just as eager as you are to sort things out. Pick your moment before applying the relationship self help approach. Do whatever it takes to save your marriage because your marriage is worth saving…..
