Yes familiarity breeds contempt. When couples have been married for a long period of time, life gets very routine and boredom sets in. Things get very repetitive. That is when sex starts to “slow down” or worst case scenario – STOP!

However, there are cases when sex slowly die after the kids are born. Children can be a handful especially if they are still very young. By the end of the day, your wife will be too tired to even think of sex. Sensory overload will cause a person to be physically and emotionally lethargic. Sadly, couple tend to drag this situation even after the kids have grown up.

Sex is an important factor in any marriage.  The longer the marriage, the higher the chance couple tends to reduce the number of times they have sex in a week.  Job commitment, children and work pressure are some of the contributing factors.  They find intimacy a chore instead of a way to express love and care for each other.  This is a very sad situation.
